7.7.4.2.2 GMP3 PAX wired integration and counter payment

This lesson covers counter payments with a PAX A910SF on the GMP3 (wired) path. You can connect the PAX device with an Ethernet cable or over Wi-Fi. If you have finished the license and department steps in 7.7.4.2.1, continue here.

Bridge app: short summary

After the license, you pay Ritapos a one-time integration setup fee. Our technical team then installs the "Ritapos x Worldline" bridge app on your computer. The bridge forwards orders from Ritapos to your PAX device. The setup request, GMP.xml settings and payment window are the same as for Ingenico. For the illustrated guide, see 7.7.4.1.2 GMP3 Ingenico wired integration and counter payment.

Connecting the PAX with an Ethernet cable

If you chose TCP/ETH as the connection type in the license step, connect the device with a cable. The Ethernet cable plugs into the ETH port on the PAX platform.

Connecting the PAX over Wi-Fi

The PAX A910SF can also work like a wired device over Wi-Fi, without a cable. The steps are:

  1. When you buy the license in iKasa, choose "Wired" as the integration type and TCP/Wi-Fi as the "Connection type". In the box below, choose "Ritapos".
  2. Connect your PAX device to your Wi-Fi network. The bridge app reaches the device by its IP address, just as with a cable.
  3. In the GMP.xml step below, enter the IP address the device has on Wi-Fi.

If you need help with the Wi-Fi or IP settings on the device, you can call the cash register company support line (0850 250 40 30).

The PAX IP address in GMP.xml

Open the "ritapos-worldline-bridge\dist\dlls\Windows\x64\GMP.xml" file in the bridge folder. Replace the IP address, usually found in the first interface, with the IP address of your PAX device. This step is the same for cable and Wi-Fi.

Taking payment at the counter

After you run the app, use the "Worldline" button on the order card to send the payment to your PAX device. Partial payments, device pairing and "Open Receipt Transactions" work the same as for Ingenico and are covered in 7.7.4.1.2.
