Daily Cleaning Schedule
Use it every service day. The person who cleans an area initials the column for their shift. This schedule does not replace the weekly hygiene inspection. That is a separate, more detailed form. This schedule shows which area was cleaned during which shift on that day.
Post the schedule on the kitchen wall or beside the register. A sheet forgotten in the office will not be completed. During an inspection, an empty box is read as meaning that the area was not cleaned during that shift. Use initials instead of an anonymous check mark because initials identify the person.
Some areas may be inaccessible on a rainy day or during renovations. Instead of leaving the area blank, write the reason. A box with a reason can be understood during an inspection. A box without a reason looks like a skipped task. Keep the schedule in the same folder as the weekly hygiene form. If the weekly walkthrough finds a blank day on the daily sheets, the corresponding no response for that week is already clear.
How to use this form
- Fill in the date and person responsible at the start of the day. Without a date, the schedule becomes a sheet whose day cannot be identified in the file.
- Initial the relevant shift box when the work is complete. An empty box means the area was not cleaned during that shift.
- Write any area that could not be completed in the notes and state why. A verbal handoff to the next shift is not enough. The next shift reads the note and resolves it.
- Do not leave the same area blank for two shifts. The second empty box must be resolved before the end-of-day signoff.
- The manager signs at the end of the day. Review every empty box before signing.
- Keep the sheet for at least one month. The weekly hygiene walkthrough also checks for blank days on this schedule.
How this maps to Ritapos
The cleaning walkthrough is tracked on paper. Ritapos records stock and cash activity, but it does not record whether a counter was wiped. Manage these as separate tasks. Do not look for a cleaning module in the software; this schedule is the record for that work.
The hygiene inspection form records the weekly walkthrough, while this schedule records daily initials. Keeping both in the same file lets you show both daily and weekly records during an inspection. The staff hygiene form records each person's hair covering and apron; it does not replace area cleaning.
This form is a checklist for training purposes. It does not change your municipal, food registration, or occupational health obligations. Confirm local requirements in writing.
