6.6. Taking a Split Payment

Split payment is one of the most commonly used order actions. Use the window opened from "Actions" on the order details page or by selecting the "Split Payment" payment method.

Although the products are listed in the window, you can take split payments with different payment methods independently of those products. First select the payment method, enter the amount received in the field, and select "Add Payment." You can use the up arrow buttons in the product list to make the amount easier to calculate.

It is common for part of a split payment to be paid in cash and another part by credit card or a similar method. For example, if 20 lira of a 47 lira order has been added to the split payment system as cash, selecting "Remaining" automatically enters 27 in the payment form. Check the selected payment type, then select "Add Payment" to reduce the remaining value to 0.

If you close the order before the remaining value reaches 0, the remaining value will be marked as no payment.
