8.7. Shift Planning and Tracking with the HR Module
With shift planning you prepare your employees' shifts and manage swap requests. Open it from HR cockpit > Shift > Shift planning.
Shift templates
First define your shifts as templates. The Shift templates table shows the name, start and end time, break minutes, color and whether the template is active. The + button opens the New shift template form. Fill in Title, Shift start, Shift end, Break (min), Color and Active, then click Save.

Shift calendar
The Shift calendar shows employees in rows and days in columns. Switch between day, week and month views and move with Previous week and Next week. The Select shift template picker is above the calendar. An assigned shift appears in the employee's row on that day.

In week view, the repeat button next to PDF copies last week's shift plan to this week and next week. In month view it copies last month's plan to this month and next month. The PDF button downloads the plan as a PDF. Approved leaves appear on the calendar automatically (8.6).
Shift swap requests
Employees can request to swap shifts with each other. Shift swap requests shows the requester, the target, Requester shift, Target shift, Status and Note. The target employee can accept or decline the request. A manager approves or rejects it; when a request is approved, the two shifts swap employees.

Shift tracking
The HR cockpit has no separate shift tracking screen. Follow the shift on two screens: Assigned tasks for task completion (8.8) and Attendance records for clock-in and clock-out times (8.10).
