What is a financial report?

A financial report summarizes sales, payments and cash movements accumulated on the fiscal POS. You use these device reports during the day or at close to check revenue, payment mix and the till close.

For brand-agnostic definitions and POS day-end checks, see what X and Z reports are.

What is an X report?

An X report is an interim report. It shows sales up to that moment and does not reset the counters. Use it for mid-shift or quick till checks.

What is a Z report?

A Z report is the end-of-day report. It closes the period and resets the counters. Take it for the daily fiscal close; the next sales day starts with fresh counters.
