2.2. Sign In with the Owner Account
Sign in with the owner account at app.ritapos.com. Use the email and password you used at sign-up.

Type your email in Type your email address or username and your password in Type your password. Click Sign in. If you forgot your password, use Forgotten password (lesson 2.3).
The owner account has the highest access in your business. You use it to set up the store, products and tables. You also create accounts for staff in other roles, such as Manager.
If you have not added products yet, the menu shows a Setup wizard card (lesson 2.7).
Two-factor authentication
The owner account gives access to all branches, sales, cash and staff data. A password alone is not enough to protect it. A password can be stolen. A current or former employee may know it. With two-factor authentication on, sign-in asks for a code as well as the password. Your account stays protected even if someone else gets your password.
An app on your phone creates the code. You can use an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator.
Turn it on
- Click the person icon in the top bar. The Profile settings page opens.
- In the Security section, click Two-factor authentication.

The panel shows Two-factor authentication is not active.

- Click Generate QR code.
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app.
- Type the code from the app into Authenticator code.
- Click Enable two-factor. The panel shows Two-factor authentication is active.
Signing in with the code
Enter your email and password and click Sign in. An Authenticator code field appears. Type the current code from the app and click Sign in again. A wrong code shows Invalid 2FA code. Try again with the current code in the app.
Changing phones
Turn off two-factor authentication before you change phones. The button is in the same panel: Disable two-factor. Then turn it on again on the new phone with the same steps.
If you lose your phone, contact the Ritapos support team. They will help you.
Each user can turn on two-factor authentication only for their own account.
Sign out when you finish on a shared computer. Logout from other devices in the same section ends your sessions on other devices.
