The Story of 91 Orders in One Day at a Ritapos Venue

We follow a concrete scenario to see what an average venue does with Ritapos during the day, from taking orders to checking reports.

The Story of 91 Orders in One Day at a Ritapos Venue

Over the course of a day, a venue handles a lot of different jobs in Ritapos. So what does an average venue actually do with Ritapos in a day? We took the average across all our members, and here is what we found.

The average venue takes 91 orders and makes more than 10,000 TL in sales. When we looked at how those orders spread across the day, the busiest hour was 20.00 with 15 orders, followed by 12.00 with 11 orders. The chart holds few surprises, but it does show how sharply the lunch rush at 12 stands out compared with 11 and 13.

The highest-value orders average 310 TL, while the lowest-value orders average 12 TL.

Across those 91 orders, 171 items are sold, and 80% of them come from just 20% of the product groups on the menu. Once again the numbers prove the Pareto principle - Wikipedia (wikipedia.org) right.

Taking those 91 orders took 262 taps on the screen, and payments took another 113. That means staff tapped the screen 375 times for orders alone. Add the other tasks staff carry out in the system and the figure climbs past 600.

In large venues that take 500 orders a day, the figure goes above 3,000. Large venues usually run more devices, so divided by the number of devices it comes to roughly 800 actions per device. That tells you how good the hardware on the floor needs to be.

Even at the busiest hours of the day, we respond to every one of these actions within 60ms.

Most payments are made by credit card. Card payments make up 83% of all payment methods, another split close to the Pareto pattern. During rush hours we see more payments with meal cards such as Ticket and Sodexo, but the share does not change in any meaningful way.

Owners check their reports about 10 times a day on average. That means business performance is being measured almost every hour! It shows how much it matters to see figures like "what happened on the same day last week?" or "how did yesterday go?" in real time. Franchisors report even more often to measure how their franchisees are doing.
